A NEW AWARD FOR THE CABINET
SPOTICAR - the home of approved used cars - wanted to put on a 10-day sales event at the end of January.
Their reason was clear - it's a quiet time of year. But there was no reason for people to come – no new number plates until March, no offer, no incentive.
We needed to find something else that would capture people's attention and raise awareness of the widest choice and best deals available on the approved-used vehicle market – while engaging their 500+ dealers in a fun new campaign that would keep their forecourts busy.
The football transfer window opens every January - with buzz from fans talking about which clubs will strike a deal. It was a similar audience to those who might be interested in switching their car.
So we turned a random 10-day sales event into the SPOTICAR TRANSFER WINDOW, and worked with the SPOTICAR team and their agency, Cogent, to introduce a ‘signing on bonus’ – where anyone who bought a car could redeem a staycation or family day out.
We were thrilled that the campaign picked up a Gold and Silver Award in the Content and Social Media categories at The Drum Roses this year. The video series (that J11 produced, shot and edited) also generated the highest dealer uptake of campaign assets for a SPOTiCAR campaign ever!
